Sharing Love and Light

My heart goes out to the families that were impacted by last week’s school shooting in South Minneapolis. I wish I had the words of wisdom to make this better, but no words can undo the damage that was done.

If you are expecting a baby or already have kiddos at home, you may be feeling extra anxious and fearful, angry, or lacking hope. If so, I encourage you to talk through your feelings with your doctor or mental health therapist. Take a break from the news. Spend some time in nature. Take one small action to support the families that are grieving. Check out the Washburn Center for Children’s website for tips on how to talk with children about community violence. https://washburn.org/2023/05/04/advice-for-talking-with-kids-about-community-violence/.

I am confident that there is more good than evil in the world. Caring folks can make a difference by coming together to solve difficult problems.

Stay safe, remain rooted in hope.

With much love and light,

Bev
